VECTOR TWIN T140

The AXALIGHT VECTOR TWIN T140 range provides a high level of flexibility by offering a wide array of options enabling the creation of linear fixtures built to suit your application.
VECTOR T140 is equipped with 140 LEDs per metre divided into two groups of 70 LEDs. These groups are populated with different CCT LEDs allowing for control between the two colour temperatures.
VECTOR models are remotely powered and range from simple power-on fixtures to remote dimming via wireless ArtNet Cloud-Drive or DMX/RDM technologies the choice is yours.
VECTOR T140 features high efficency 0.5W White LEDs with frosted or clear optics and is available in lengths from 200 to 2,000 mm lengths for total flexibility.
VECTOR is designed for dry applications, such as residences, on TV sets and architectural applications.
VECTOR is available in DUOTEK (White+TriRGB), PIXEL (RGB), QUAD (RGBW) and ECO (White) LED options. See the full VECTOR range.

Rigid PCB construction
Here at AXALIGHT we choose the strategic advantages of rigid PCBs
Rigid Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) are the backbone of high-reliability electronics, offering a robust foundation that prioritizes structural integrity and long-term performance. Their design is centered on three core pillars:
1. Exceptional Reliability
Constructed from sturdy materials like FR-4 (fiberglass), rigid PCBs provide superior mechanical support. Unlike flexible alternatives, they do not warp or bend, which protects delicate solder joints and surface-mount components from mechanical fatigue. Their high thermal stability and resistance to vibration make them the gold standard for mission-critical applications in medical, automotive, and industrial sectors.
2. Streamlined Serviceability
The fixed, flat architecture of rigid PCBs facilitates easier diagnostics and repair. Accessibility: Solid substrates provide a stable platform for desoldering and replacing individual components without damaging the surrounding traces—a task significantly more difficult on flexible substrates.
3. Maximum Longevity
Rigid boards are built to endure. Their thick copper layers and protective solder masks offer high resistance to environmental factors like moisture and heat. Because they are not subject to the physical stresses of repeated flexing, they avoid the "trace cracking" that often limits the lifespan of flexible circuits.
Thermal Managed Design
The Vital Role of Heat Sinking in LED Luminaires
While LEDs are celebrated for their efficiency, they are not 100% efficient. Approximately 70–80% of the electrical energy they consume is converted into heat rather than light. Unlike traditional incandescent bulbs that radiate heat outward as infrared energy, LEDs generate heat at the P-N junction of the semiconductor. Without effective heat sinking, this localized thermal energy accumulates, leading to several critical issues:
1. Longevity and Lifespan
Excessive heat is the primary cause of premature LED failure. For every 10 degree increase in junction temperature, the operational lifespan can be slashed by 50%. Proper heat management ensures the fixture reaches its promised L70 rating (the point where light output drops to 70% of its initial value).
2. Luminous Efficacy
As an LED’s temperature rises, its forward voltage decreases and internal efficiency drops.10 This results in thermal droop, where the luminaire produces fewer lumens per watt, effectively wasting electricity and dimming the light output.
3. Color Stability
Thermal stress can cause chromaticity shift, where the light color visibly changes over time—for instance, a "warm white" LED turning a bluish hue. Heat sinks maintain the structural integrity of the phosphor coating, ensuring consistent color temperature for years.
